This position reports to the Director of Institutional Advancement.
School of the Holy Child seeks an Alumnae Engagement and Giving Manager to help build a successful program for engaging and stewarding alumnae and parents of alumnae. S/he will play a key role in the School’s efforts to engage its alumnae and their parents, with an immediate focus on engaging those who are five to 50 years out of the School. S/he will be responsible for the successful execution of a variety of alumnae communications, engagement, and cultivation activities throughout the year, as well as special alumnae initiatives, including but not limited to the Senior Class Gift and the implementation of Reunion Giving. The work of the Alumnae Engagement and Giving Manager will help to foster and continue to grow positive relationships with the alumnae, their parents, and the School that result in stronger connections and increased philanthropy from these constituencies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Alumni Engagement & Partnerships (50%)
Collaborate with colleagues across the School to create and maintain pathways for alumnae participation that advance the goals of the Holy Child, including:
Partner with Director of Institutional Advancement and Associate Director of Annual Giving to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumnae and parent of alumnae annual giving.
With the guidance of Director of Institutional Advancement and Associate Director of Annual Giving, s/he will develop a strategic Alumnae Annual Giving plan that will grow alumnae donor engagement and annual fund support.
Identify, recruit, cultivate high-potential alumnae and parent of alumnae volunteers to support these efforts.
Bring alumnae and their parents back to campus for events throughout the school year involving current Holy Child students;
Though alumnae connections gather mentoring and internship opportunities for the students;
Identify alumnae to highlight in admission materials, on the School’s website, and in print publications
Alumnae Events (20%)
Develop, manage, and execute a rotating program of events aimed at specifically engaging and stewarding alumnae including, but not limited to: annual Reunion, Library Luncheon and Boutique, the Benefit, alumnae networking and affinity group events, New York City/ Westchester young alumnae gatherings, regional gatherings, and Graduation
Oversee the work of the Alumnae Association Board
Four meetings each year
Annual Fund volunteers and fundraising assistance
Assistance w/Admission events
Recruit parents of alumnae to form Parent of Alumnae Association
Write Constitution and By-laws
Design and execute one annual event to bring parents of alumnae back to campus
Accurately prepare and track RSVP lists, produce nametags, and oversee post-event follow up, including updates to Veracross;
Prepare and monitor revenue and budget tracking for events, and ensure accurate expense processing.
Senior Class (15%)
Collaborate with the Institutional Advancement team, College Counseling, Athletics, Campus Ministry, Service Learning, and academic departments to execute the Senior Year plan, which includes but is not limited to:
Fundraising for the Senior Class Gift
Baccalaureate Mass and Induction into the Alumnae Association
Collection of contact information for graduating seniors
Communications and Social Media (10%)
Oversee strategy and content for the alumnae Instagram feed, Facebook, and other social media platforms;
Write and send out quarterly digital Alumnae newsletter;
Collect and write class notes for Glimpses, the School’s annual magazine
Explore and develop new communications tools for the alumnae program;
Conduct annual survey of alumnae to assist the School in following up on the academic and professional success of graduates.
In collaboration with the Institutional Advancement Associate, oversee all aspects of alumnae and parent of alumnae data entry, and ensure records are accurately and regularly updated, including adding constituents, updating biographical information, noting pertinent information collected, etc.;
Provide guidance to alumnae volunteers to ensure efforts are in line with the School’s policies, procedures, and the larger purpose of the alumnae relations program;
Oversee all in-house event operation schedules for alumnae events and work closely with internal and external partners to ensure smooth preparation and execution;
Complete other duties as assigned and appropriate.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required and a minimum of three to five years of professional experience in alumnae relations, community-building, development or a related field;
Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple demands and priorities
A collaborative spirit and strong team ethic;

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be detail-oriented and be able to handle multiple tasks;
Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals both in person and over the phone, via email and in written correspondence;
Demonstrated understanding of how to use social media to engage and build community for organizations;
Ability to problem-solve and make decisions independently; as well as the ability to collaborate with others as part of teams;
Excellent command of office technology tools including Microsoft Word, Excel and database software; Veracross experience a plus;
Discretion and tact in handling confidential information;
Highest ethical and professional behavior;
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed in support of all Institutional Advancement initiatives and school events;
Commitment to Holy Child’s mission, vision, and strategic direction;
