St. Andrew’s School, located in Barrington, Rhode Island seeks a Director of Communication for the 2019-2020 academic year. Reporting to the Assistant Head of School For Institutional Advancement, the Director of Communications will work closely with the school’s advancement team to develop a comprehensive communication and marketing program that advances the mission and brand of the school. The Director of Communications will be responsible for marketing the school to external constituencies as well as maintain a high level of ongoing, meaningful communication to internal constituencies, including current families, alumni, faculty, and staff.
Oversee the development and effective implementation of the school’s annual communication plan across departments
Develop and execute annual marketing and campaign plans that engage internal and external constituents in the support and promotion of the school.
Work across all departments, including athletics and arts, to create dynamic content to tell the story of campus life and special events.
Collaborate with the advancement team to develop strategies to recruit prospective students and engage committed alumni and families.
Manage media relations, including writing press releases and cultivate relations with local media.
Serve as the school’s chief writer, editor, and blogger
Oversee the production of a variety of materials (both print and digital) meant to increase the school’s visibility and competitive positioning, and enhance the public’s perception of the school.
Shape and maintain the strategic and creative direction of the school’s website. This includes daily maintenance and oversight.
Solicit content and design the school’s weekly emails to faculty and parents
Develop and manage an integrated online presence on social media platforms.
Identify emerging marketing strategies, test their effectiveness, and report on results.
Manage relationships with outside vendors for the website, photography, graphic design, digital marketing, and print advertising
Coordinate, and assist with on and off campus events such as Family Weekend, Grandparents Day, Prom, Graduation, etc.
