Trinity is seeking applicants for a full-time Spanish instructor at the middle or upper school level. A master’s degree in modern languages is preferred. This candidate must have a desire to work with students in a challenging college-preparatory environment and have a natural disposition for teaching a wide range of ages and levels. Qualified candidates should demonstrate both competence and enthusiasm. This teacher should plan to be an integral component of the students' lives, in and out of the classroom, and to collaborate with colleagues on a grade-level team as well as with the world languages department.
Experience working at an independent school is a plus. Trinity Prep has a one-to-one laptop program, and students use technology in a variety of ways: integrating electronic textbooks, using GoogleDocs and Forms for assignments, and using blended models to ignite teacher-student interaction. Knowledge of a learning management system such as Canvas would be a great asset as well.
The teacher will be engaged in the school community and encouraged to sponsor a club or service organization and/or be involved in athletics or the arts. Additionally, daily interaction with an advisory group is an essential requirement of any Trinity Prep educator.
All candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
