To teach students in a classroom setting, to create an environment favorable to learning and personal growth in accordance with each student’s needs and ability. The teacher is responsible for the human and spiritual education of the students entrusted to his/her care through both delivery of the instructional program and modeling of appropriate skills, attitudes and behaviors. About Grace Academy
Grace Academy is a tuition-free, private middle school (5th-8th grade) for inner-city girls living in the most vulnerable neighborhoods of Hartford, CT. Founded in 2010, Grace Academy is intentionally small, serving 60 students. Grace adheres to the nine mission effective standards of the NativityMiguel model of education and provides an exceptional educational opportunity to girls from families of limited economic means. In a structured learning environment – including a 10-hour school day, individual tutoring and small classes – our students develop the character, skills and discipline needed to become productive citizens. We are committed to the success of our students not only in middle school, but – with guidance, tutoring and financial support – in high school and college.
