The Registrar is a member of the Academic Team and reports to the Assistant Head for Academics. The Registrar is charged with leading efforts to ensure Congressional School maintains accurate student records and statistical data across the organization and also maintains a strong connection with the Advancement Office in support of enrollment management. The Registrar also serves as Congressional School’s Primary Designated School Officer (PDSO) supporting the enrollment mission-appropriate international students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the enrollment and registration of all students in Blackbaud
Oversee student withdrawal process including communication of withdrawals to all appropriate parties
Maintain all student records on campus and with Iron Mountain
Maintain all testing data for students
Prepare and disseminate student information, such as transcripts, as required
Serve as Blackbaud system administrator
Train staff on Blackbaud and serve as the staff liaison
Partner with the School Nurse to ensure all required student health records are complete prior to the first day of school Serve as a back-up support for Smart Tuition as needed (?)
Manage student schedules in Blackbaud and prepare report cards and transcripts
Coordinate with the Business Office to update student enrollment contracts each year and ensure they are processed in a timely fashion
Assist with 8th Grade academic award packet preparation
Support high school decision process including paperwork, tracking, and data-gathering
Manage distribution and collection of field trip permission documents
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Advanced skills in collecting and analyzing data
Prior experience with curriculum management systems (Blackbaud experience preferred)
Expert communication skills, both oral and written
A warm collaborative nature, a positive, upbeat personality and a sense of humor
