Golda Och Academy is currently seeking an Upper School Learning Specialist (grades 7-12) for the 2019-2020 school year. The successful candidate will have a background in special education or a related field, experience working with students with learning differences, and the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and the other members of our Guidance Department. The Upper School Learning Specialist is responsible for the following
Prepares and helps implement individual education plans
Teaches study skills classes
Provides support and guidance to classroom teachers
Facilitates communication between students, parents, and teachers
Acts as the primary case manager for a group of students with learning differences
