Jemicy School, which educates talented and bright college-bound students with dyslexia or other related language-based learning differences, is seeking an experienced educator to assume a full-time position teaching Upper School History for the 2019-2020 school year. Applicants should be highly creative, passionate and dynamic education professionals able to teach a range of History subjects, have the ability to meet the needs of individual students and be adept at utilizing multisensory instructional techniques to support a broad range of student learning styles.

A bachelor’s degree in History, Secondary/Special Education (or a closely related field) with 3 to 5 years of teaching experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience, is required. Additionally, the ideal candidate would have the ability and willingness to coach an athletic team and/or club, must have strong interpersonal skills and be committed to developing successful learners who will be prepared for careers of the 21st century.
