This position serves as a partner to the Director of Advancement in the planning, execution and evaluation of a comprehensive advancement program that secures the necessary philanthropic resources for the current and future needs of Tabor Academy. This role will provide programmatic leadership in the areas of alumni engagement and annual giving, while contributing to the development of the overall advancement strategy. This role is responsible for developing, marketing, implementing and evaluating events, outreach and programs designed to engage Tabor Academy's alumni and build a culture of philanthropy across the broader community.
Oversight and development of a comprehensive program to engage Tabor Academy's alumni in meaningful ways and promote philanthropic support for the school through all levels of annual giving
Design, lead and direct the development of annual goals and objectives, operating plans and budgets, staffing and measurable and applied metrics for success of the Alumni Relations program and the Fund for Tabor
Manage a collaborative partnership with the Office of Communications, especially in direct mail and marketing strategies, email communications and newsletters
With Tabor Academy's Director Fund for Tabor, will be responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of the Fund for Tabor in an effort to increase unrestricted and restricted annual support
With Tabor Academy's Director of Alumni Relations, manage the strategic direction of the school's alumni engagement programming including campus and region events, Reunion Weekend, Alumni Association, regional alumni chapters and young alumni outreach
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience in advancement annual giving and alumni relations
Ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, well-organized and goal-oriented with an enthusiastic and positive personality. Able to manage complex projects
Computer proficiency with strong MS Office skills and Raisers Edge
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work effectively with parents, alumni, faculty and other employees at various levels
Willingness to work weekends, evenings and attend events, travel as needed
