The Associate’s primary responsibilities will be to...
Direct and own responsibility for all aspects of the Middle School admission process. This will include: communicating with prospective families, coordinating with other independent schools on shared applicants, planning and executing the Middle School open house, conducting tours, scheduling and overseeing applicant’s campus visits, administering tests to applicants, informing faculty-staff about applicant visitors, and notifying applicants’ families of admissions decisions.
Help run Admissions office operations...
Manage database for all applicants K-8, conducting periodic reports.
Assist the Director with all written communication, making suggestions and edits.
Print & assemble admissions materials.
Help plan and execute various admissions events (e.g., Lower School open house, new family orientations).
Help produce the School’s Directory by adding new families and making necessary edits.
The ideal candidate will have…
a love of schools generally and independent schools specifically;
experience in admissions or related enterprises, and an understanding of best practices;
strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills;
skill in standard office work, such as mail merges, database reports, and spreadsheet analysis;
a developed sense of marketing and branding;
worked actively to cultivate an inclusive learning/working environment and support a community grounded in empathy, social responsibility, and celebration of individual differences; and
a bachelor’s degree. An advanced degree is preferred, but not required.
