Position Title: Bookkeeper/Substitute Scheduler FLSA Classification: Nonexempt Reports To: Director of Finance & Operations Position Purpose: Support the Director of Finance & Operations with ongoing financial recordkeeping services. Serve as the school’s hub for substitute personnel needs.
Banking - Prepare and process deposits according to school procedures
Communication – Researches and processes parent tuition/fee issues/collections, charge backs, returns and bad checks; Phone calls, mail, email as necessary
Quickbooks – A/R, A/P, Account Reconciliations, Reports as needed
FACTS – input data for and finalize tuition payment plans
Payroll – oversee time sheets, manual and automated; process payroll; monitor changes in payroll related data, process journal entries in Quickbooks. distribute payroll reports as needed
Grant Administration and Tracking
Substitute scheduling – work directly with the Director of Finance and Operations to meet all needs for substitute personnel
Organization –hard copy and automated record keeping
Front Office Support – answer phones and monitor front door as needed
Special projects - as required
Strong organizational skills
Must demonstrate competency with Quickbooks 2015, basic word processing, spreadsheet, database and internet functions.
Competency with FACTS, FACTS SIS (RenWeb); DonorPerfect and related programs preferred.
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of experience in a similar position.
Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Ability to ascertain which people may need immediate assistance and to act accordingly.
Ability to use basic office equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively with all constituents in a school environment.

Works at desk and computer screen for extended periods of time.
Turns, bends and reaches.
Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
Works in a traditional climate controlled office environment.
