All Saints’ Episcopal Day School, in Central Phoenix, is seeking a general music, band and performing arts teacher beginning in the fall of 2019. The candidate for this full-time position will join an exceptional and talented faculty and will work with students who are bright, motivated, and engaging.
A qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Orff or Kodaly certification and/or Master’s degree preferred) and at least five years of teaching experience. Creativity, passion for learning, and a positive attitude are essential ingredients as well as the ability to maintain a productive learning environment within a student-centered setting. This position also demands considerable flexibility and versatility since there is interaction with children in kindergarten through eighth grades, creation and direction of musical and dramatic presentations, and general music and band instruction. Currently, the job involves kindergarten, second, and fourth grade general music, fifth and sixth grade band, and a seventh and eighth grade instrumental ensemble. The candidate will be expected to participate in committees as encouraged by the administration, lead music for chapel services, develop and execute musical and theatrical performances on an annual basis, be available to students and parents before and after school, and may be assigned other duties by the Head of School.
