The RSS seeks a versatile educator who is able to assist students of different ages and teachers of different disciplines with projects and coursework that require expertise with an array of technological instrumentalities. The spectrum of projects and coursework ranges from initial introduction to software and internet technology to more advanced programming guidance. Additional work includes facilitation of online research and assistance or training in the best use of contemporary software and devices. The position also includes responsibilities regarding shared equipment for instructional purposes and student use, as well as oversight of library technological resources in general.
Strong candidates will have a wide range of capacities in computer science as well as classroom teaching experience, ideally in a Waldorf school. The position requires collaborative work with faculty throughout the school, as well as more intensive instructional assistance for students in the Upper School on a daily basis. Additional responsibilities include attendance at departmental or divisional meetings, as well as general supervisory duties.
