Diversity Coordinator, Early Childhood, Elementary Teacher

We are seeking qualified candidates for a full-time ICIE Associate. The full-time ICIE Associate will work under the direct supervision of the Co-Directors of ICIE and collaboratively with all members of the team. This position will focus on working with our Nursery/Lower Divisions in the areas of anti-bias and culturally responsive curriculum.
The ideal candidate will:
Have knowledge of and experience with diversity work in an independent school
Become a trained S.E.E.D. leader and participate in S.E.E.D. (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) seminars
Be able to manage multiple on-going tasks
Be an effective communicator (listening, speaking, writing)
Demonstrate an understanding of multiculturalism, equity, and social justice.
Demonstrate kindness, thoughtfulness, creativity and informed decision-making
Be able to take on leadership roles and be supportive of the work of others
Be a strong advocate for the Horace Mann School community
Be willing to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
Be willing to work on all HM campuses (Riverdale, Manhattan, Washington, CT)
Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred
Early childhood/elementary school teaching experience desired
Adult and/or student group facilitation experience desired
Relevant experience with equity and social justice within organizations/educational institutions
