Harpeth Hall seeks a part-time teacher who is an expert in the area of photography, specifically wet process (film), to join our Upper School teaching faculty. The ideal candidate is someone who is knowledgeable in black-and-white film developing and darkroom printing, and who also has a background in teaching. The department is looking for a team player-- someone willing to join our department in discussion, is capable of working well with others, and is open, honest, and competent in both written and verbal communication. Other important qualifications include an ability to maintain and repair (or make contacts to repair) darkroom equipment and lab space. Lastly, the candidate should be comfortable with technology and possess a willingness to learn technology systems necessary for daily classroom use. This is a part time position for the 2019-20 academic year with a stipend for summer work preparing the darkroom space and equipment.
