The Pingry School seeks a dynamic and engaging Resident Coach. This is a part-time position. The ideal candidate possesses significant coaching experience at the middle and upper school levels, demonstrates a thorough understanding of the programmatic elements of fitness and instructional elements of physical education, and enjoys working with students on physical fitness and sports skills development. An experienced coach of any number of sports, this educator models a healthy lifestyle and demonstrates a love of competition and coaching. This candidate would coach a middle school sport and a high school sport in all three seasons.
A person with consistently high standards, the candidate of choice seeks growth and learning every day, both personally and professionally, and inspires others to do the same through optimism, selflessness, flexibility, and teamwork. The selected candidate has a real desire to contribute to the school community by sharing their passions and through additional efforts, such as advising students, directing clubs, or supervising activities.
This person must be qualified to coach a number of sports at both the middle school and upper (high) school levels. This coach must be available for middle school practice from 2:10-3:30 and upper school practice from 3:40-5:30 daily.
