Reports to: Directors of Academic & College Advising
Job Description: The Advising Department Program Coordinator supports both the Academic and College Advising Offices. He/she is an energetic team player who is skilled at networking, teaching, administration and event planning. A successful candidate will be detail and process-oriented, able to manage multiple and shifting priorities, able to effectively represent LCA to external colleges and business organizations, be excited to work with teens, communicate with parents and partner with teachers.
**Successful growth in this role will lead to increased student advising responsibilities over time.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Team Teach 9th grade study skills seminar, 10th grade career workshop & 11th grade College Advising class
Coordinate Career Exploration Trip Program (CET)
Maintain relationships with existing CETs and develop new contacts at various organizations
Schedule and coordinate all aspects of CETs; report student participation metrics each year
Coordinate College Night& College Admissions Day Visit Program
Maintain relationships with college admissions representatives
Facilitate College Night event and day visits to LCA by college admissions representatives
Manage College Life Series by scheduling seminars, speakers and workshops on various aspects of the transition to college life
Provide College Application Support to students on an individualized basis

SALARY & BENEFITS: This is a full-time, 10-month position. Salary is negotiable, commensurate with experience and/or qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS: Strong computer, interpersonal and written communication skills, ability to network extensively & a bachelor’s degree required. 5+ years work experience outside of education, teaching and/or expertise in executive functioning coaching for high school are a plus.
