Physical Education Teacher
The Buckley School, a leading K – 12 independent school in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County has an opening for a full-time Physical Education Teacher. This teacher will be responsible for all aspects of teaching our curriculum and is responsible for developing and maintaining curriculum maps of the courses they teach. In addition to teaching physical education classes, this individual must be a certified water safety instructor. They must have both taught and coached swimming in previous employment since this position will involve teaching and coaching swimming in grades 3-8. This individual must also have teaching and coaching experience in multiple other sports. Additionally, this individual will also be responsible for an advisory of 6-8 students and is expected to be a collaborative and engaged community member at Buckley, enthusiastically participating in the Physical Education department and among the greater faculty and staff.

Bachelors degree (Masters preferred)
2+ years of teaching/coaching experience
Certified Water Safety Instructor
Demonstrated competency in diversity, multiculturalism, inclusion, equity and social justice
In addition to swimming, the preferred candidates will have coaching experience in several of these sports: flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, golf, and tennis
