Upland Country Day School, a Preschool through Grade 9 independent school in Kennett Square, PA, seeks a Head of Lower School for July 1, 2019. Guided by the school's mission and strategic plan, the Head of Lower School works closely with the Head of School and the Administrative Team to implement and oversee mission-guided programs and culture. Charged with the implementation of PK-5 curricula, the Head of Lower School implements the overall direction of instruction and effectively leads the faculty, students, and parents through the Lower School experience. The Head of Lower School, working closely with the Head of School, supervises PK-5 academic personnel and staff, reviews instructional programming and schedules, and oversees the daily operations of the PK-5 program. The Head of Lower School reports to the Head of School. This is a permanent, 12-month position.

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree and a minimum of five years experience in K-5 education is highly preferred.
