Duties and responsibilities include:
Preparation and implementation of daily lessons
Delivery of assignments and timely evaluation of all relevant work and student progress
Design and implementation of appropriate, authentic assessments and support of individual student learning styles, abilities, and achievement
Timely and proactive communication with parents
Timely and effective communication with all school constituencies
Serving as an Advisor to small group of students
Sponsoring and assisting with student activities, clubs, and organizations
Collaborating with other members of the faculty, administration and staff on interdisciplinary and community-based opportunities
Active participation in all faculty and staff meetings, parent nights, conferences, and school events
Support of divisional and school-wide initiatives through committee work, where appropriate
Supervision and/or participation in non-academic activities, including lunch and study hall
Antilles School anticipates possible openings for the 2019-2020 school year in Physical Education and Health, Spanish, Science, and Lower School. Positions may be full- or part-time.
Bachelor’s degree or higher, required
Demonstrated command of knowledge applicable to the position
Understanding of pedagogy and fostering intellectual growth
Ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with multiple constituencies
Excellent communication skills
Positive, detail-oriented team player with the ability be self-directed
Experience in independent schools, preferred
