Abington Friends School, a Quaker co-educational day school located in Jenkintown, PA, is seeking candidates for the position of Payroll/Student Billing/AR Associate. The Payroll and Accounting Associate will handle all payroll processing as well as collaborate with the Director of Business & Operations and Controller on Student Billing and other Accounts Receivable processing.
Maintain payroll files using ADP Workforce Now, including bi-weekly and monthly payroll data for payroll processing.
Act as primary point of contact for parents with regard to student billing.
Prepare and distribute monthly billing statements and invoices according to school policy for student billing and rentals as needed.
Process new employee payroll paperwork including statutory clearance paperwork.
Process cash deposits.
2-5 years experience with payroll processing including familiarity with applicable regulations and statutes. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
Experience with accounting and billing database software required, Financial Edge and SMART Tuition experience preferred.
Working knowledge of business accounting policies, procedures, practices required.
High level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel and other Office products.
Ability to communicate effectively with all School constituencies, including parents, students, and employees both verbally and in writing.
Ability to manage multiple functions, activities and deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
