The Village School of North Bennington, a pre-K through sixth-grade independent school serving 145 students in southwestern Vermont, seeks a gifted upper elementary/middle school teacher for our sixth-grade opening. Originally a public school, the school district voted to support a change to an independent town academy in 2013 in order to continue a history of excellent education and service to the community.
The Village School is a place where, as its mission states: “Children are at the heart of all we do.” Our faculty and staff strive to nurture students’ curiosity, ignite their enthusiasm for exploring, and help them develop tools for inquiry, invention and achievement. The special qualities of the school grow from a combination of elements: its welcoming and caring environment, its unique local curricular partnerships with other institutions, and the active and steady support it receives from the community.
