The Kitchen Staff Catering receiver assists the assistant kitchen managers in overseeing receiving and restocking throughout the food service operation. In addition the kitchen staff catering receiver is responsible for executing food delivery, set up, and clean-up for catering functions.
The school seeks a Kitchen Staff Catering Receiver who:
Prepares and maintains food prep and pertinent records for catering,
Provide the highest quality of customer service at all times.
Receive daily orders, check for quality, and store according to first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices.
Ensure supplies of china, glassware, and silverware is transported daily to operational areas.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Ensure that all floors, surfaces, access points are kept free from trash, water and other obstacles in order to prevent potential accidents.
Ensure that all food sanitation practices are followed.
Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedule.
Set up and supervise special cleaning projects with Assistant Kitchen Manager.
Restock all dishwashing, cleaning, and paper supplies as required.
Report all maintenance and equipment malfunctions to the Assistant Kitchen Manager.
Practice safety standards at all times. Use wet floor signs as required.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Maintain professional and appropriate relations with all students and parents at all times.
Maintain knowledge of school property and staff as necessary to perform assigned duties
Report all accidents to the Food Service Director or Asst. Kitchen Manager immediately.

Ensure security and confidentiality of all student information.
Report unsafe conditions or suspicious activity to Security.
Attend work on time as scheduled and adhere to attendance policy.
Participate in departmental meetings/training.
Additional duties for this position will include:
Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the school. This includes, but is not limited to those contained in the Employee Handbook and the Crisis Response Manual. Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
Promote teamwork and associate morale.
Follow proper key control procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidates should have:
Some foodservice experience preferred.
High School graduate.
Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
Must have a valid Driver’s License in order to drive school vehicles.
