Hebron Academy is seeking a dynamic, flexible, and forward-thinking intern with multi-cultural competence to join our Student Health Center team for the 2019-2020 School Year. Additionally, this position offers as wide of an exposure as possible to international boarding school life including, but not limited to dorm parent, mentor, advisor, and coach.
Intern's responsibilities will include:
Collaborating on wellness initiatives with the following departments and programs: Student Health Center, Advisory, Academic Guidance Center, Residential Life, and Athletics, at the discretion of the Director of Mental Health and Wellness.
Further developing prevention curriculum to enrich the Health and Wellness of the student body, under the supervision of the Director of Mental Health and Wellness.
The ideal candidate would have experience, knowledge, and passion around some or all of the following areas of wellness: mindfulness-based stress management, self-care, nutrition for mental wellness, sleep hygiene, holistic approaches to improve executive functioning, substance dependency prevention, boundaries with technology/screen time, sexual health, positive body image, relationship violence prevention, LGBTQ+ awareness, diversity and social justice issues pertaining to safety in school.
