Dwight School has a position available for a self-directed and dedicated educator for the Lower Quest Department. This is a temporary position for a leave replacement (approximately October 2019-March 2020).
Lower Quest Teacher
Ideal Candidate must meet the following:
Provide one-on-one academic and organizational support to struggling learners.
Experience in working with students in elementary and/or middle school.
Has background knowledge in core academic subjects: English, science, social studies and math (through Pre-Algebra 1)
Actively engage with the classroom teachers, maintaining regular contact with parents about student progress in all areas.
Required to participate in all staff meetings and an in-house professional development program.
Must be a strong writer and computer literate.
Formal training in Special Education and Literacy preferred.
