St. Paul’s School invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer for the 2019 – 2020 school year. This is a part-time, 10 month position beginning on or about August 12th and ending on or about June 1st each school year. Daily coverage hours start around 2:00 PM and conclude upon completion of last practice/game which is around 7:00 PM. Evening and weekend/holiday game & practice coverage is required.
St. Paul’s Sports Medicine provides athletic training coverage under the supervision of our team physician for 56 teams (fall through spring), covering grades 5-12. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: practice & game coverage of the middle school and high school athletic programs (occasional travel is necessary); injury recognition, prevention and treatment; student-athlete and parent education; site setup and athletic training room management.
Education and/or Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in athletic training or related field is required. Previous Middle/High School experience preferred. Must be NATABOC certified & in good standing. Must have a current Maryland State License or the ability to obtain a license. CPR/AED/First Aid instructor certification; CSCS, PES or other strength related certification preferred.
