The Churchill Middle School, a school for students with language-based learning disabilities, is seeking full-time Middle School Art Assistant Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Middle School Art Assistant Teacher position involves teaching in collaboration with the Middle School Art Head Teacher in grades 6, 7, and 8.
Assistant Teachers must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree. They should also have a strong desire to work with middle school students, a willingness and ability to work collaboratively with a team, and should be comfortable working in a variety of media including drawing, painting and ceramics. Candidates with experience and those in the process of obtaining a Master's Degree in Special Education or a relevant content area are given preference. Assistants must also possess a New York State Teaching Assistant Certification or be willing to obtain one.
