Westtown School, a diverse K–12 Quaker day and boarding school located in beautiful Chester County, PA., seeks a one-year, half-time Lower and Middle School Instrumental Music Teacher with experience working with children, ages eight to fourteen-years-old, in developing their love of music.
The Lower and Middle School Instrumental Music Teacher for the 2019-2020 academic year will:
Provide progressive individual and group instruction for Lower School students. Aid students in selecting and learning to play woodwind, brass, percussion, and string instruments.
Provide instruction for Middle School wind and percussion students in developing their musical skills through ensemble classes.
Contribute to building and sustaining an inclusive community and a program which reflects diverse cultures and perspectives
Work in coordination with the Lower, Middle, and Upper School Music Faculty to ensure coherence in the music program across the whole school.
Work with the all-school Arts Department
If interested, contract for private music lessons on campus with families of students in all three divisions of the school.
