ISB seeks a Full Time Upper Elementary Head English Teacher for the 2019-2020 School Year
Candidates should be able to use their expertise in upper elementary education to confidently lead a classroom and deliver strong instruction within the context of the school’s IB and language immersion environment. Teachers at ISB are expected to work collaboratively in lesson planning to implement a strong and engaging PYP curriculum. Candidates should hold a degree in Education and have a minimum of two years of head teaching experience in an Upper Elementary School setting.
Candidates should enjoy creating learning experiences designed to nurture the development of the whole child in a strong collaborative work environment. Ideal candidates will enjoy using a wide array of resources to build rich learning experiences while integrating multiple approaches to ensure differentiation. An ability to display effective classroom management is important in this role.
Duties include teaching reading, writing, social studies and math in English and providing academic support. Candidates should enjoy working closely with a support team within the classroom and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of PYP is a plus.
