The individual we seek must be highly organized and detail oriented, able to multi-task, and able to work independently and collaboratively. Interpersonal skills and the ability to work with varied constituencies and volunteers are important. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required. Flexibility and a sense of humor indispensable. The Development Assistant reports to the Director of Advancement in an office of five people.
Assisting with event planning and production with the Development staff, including organizing schedules for school-wide events, receptions and programs.
Working directly with parent volunteers and alumni/ae on events throughout the year, such as the annual benefit auction, street fair, etc.
Managing inventory and ordering office supplies (letterhead, printer cartridges, etc.)
Helping to produce fundraising materials for print and digital dissemination
Archiving files and photographs; office filing
Regular posting to school social media
Document school events through photos and videos to support publications and social media
Support for all other Development Office projects and fundraising as needed
