The Director of Donor Relations is responsible for the leadership and day-to-day operations of the Donor Relations Team. They oversee the strategic planning and execution of all fundraising, fundraising engagement, philanthropic support, and compliance initiatives for the department. This position reports to the Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement.
Execute and manage all fundraising activities to achieve goals set by Board of Trustees, Head of School, and Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement.
In partnership with Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement and Director of Marketing and Communications develop the strategic plan for the Advancement Department.
Establish annual plan to meet and exceed the strategic goals for the Donor Relations Team.
Coordinate with Director of Marketing and Communications on Donor Relations communications efforts including solicitation, stewardship and donor recognition activities.
Manage donor relations staff; facilitate work of and collaborate with committees and groups involved in fundraising and constituent relations.
Oversee leadership giving and the Leadership Gifts Committee.
Ensure fundraising records are accurately maintained.
Establish and maintain ongoing stewardship program to engage leadership donors and endowment families
Coordinate activities for Trustee Advisory Council, Every Raven Society, Golden Raven Society, Lifetime Giving Society, and the Deferred Gift Society.
Plan for implementation of major gifts and capital fundraising initiatives; meet with major donor prospects, solicit gifts for established priorities.
Provide appropriate reports to the Head of School, Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement, and the Institutional Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees.
Review and update annually all donor relations risk registry areas
