The Harley School seeks a full-time Upper School Spanish teacher to begin in the fall of 2019. Primary responsibility is for teaching five sections of Spanish language and culture to students in grades 9-12. Additional expectations include—but are not limited to—academic advising, chaperoning, extracurricular mentoring and supervision, and committee work.
The ideal candidate should:
Be proficient in the target language;
Possess an appropriate undergraduate degree (Master’s preferred);
Have high school teaching experience;
Be familiar with independent school culture;
Be eager to engage students in meaningful, imaginative language study.
