The Communications Specialist is responsible for managing content for all of the school’s communications, marketing, and advertising efforts. This individual serves in an internal capacity working with all divisions and departments in the school—as well as in an external capacity—by creatively seeking ways to publicize and celebrate school programs and achievements to our community. This individual must be a creative problem solver and strategic thinker with the ability to multi-task while keeping the school’s brand and image top of mind. The Communications Specialist is a member of the Advancement Team and reports directly to the Director of Advancement.

Key qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 5-7 years experience in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism. Experience with independent/private schools preferred.
Ability to work in fundraising databases (i.e. Raiser’s Edge) preferred but not required.
