We are seeking an innovative, collaborative 8th-grade English/Humanities teacher who possesses a growth mindset and demonstrates a love for the pre-adolescent learner. This full-time position requires candidates who have demonstrated knowledge of English, the humanities and the writing process. A successful candidate will teach four sections of English/Humanities, serve as an advisor for 10-12 students and support a co-curricular activity such as coaching a middle school sport.
An undergraduate degree in English is required, and a graduate degree in literacy, English or education is preferred. While open to any level of teaching experience, we are especially interested in candidates with at least two years of middle school or upper elementary teaching experience.
