DESCRIPTION: The Executive Assistant to the Head of School provides confidential, consistent and professional support to the Head of School and the Board of Trustees. Utilizing excellent organizational, interpersonal, and planning skills, the Executive Assistant takes initiative to make the work of the Head more efficient and is a significant team member of the Development Office.
Support and Assist Head of School
Maintain and coordinate the Head of School’s schedule, appointments, phone calls, messages, and correspondence
Manage drop-in visits in a kind and confident manner
Draft and facilitate written communications from HOS based on notes or other direction given
Coordinate external meetings with donors and other constituents, including scheduling and travel arrangements
Facilitate periodic surveys to different constituents
Maintain expense reports
Support Board of Trustees
Coordinate all facets of Board communication, including compiling and distributing information packets distributed to the Board and Board committees prior to scheduled meetings
Record & distribute Board and Executive Committee meeting minutes
Prepare logistics for board and committee meetings
Provide support for special projects
Supervise and schedule reception staff--hospitality, efficiency for reception staff
Manage ordering and budget for office supplies
Support Development Office with maintenance of records and receipting on Raiser’s Edge
Backup for scheduling substitute coverage
Events & Communication
Coordinate various HOS, staff, and board functions
Oversee event staff & budgets
Work as part of the Development team to host various events throughout the year
Embodies and communicates LCA mission and core values

Is able to foster partnership and communication within the school community--is accessible, approachable, and welcoming
Exceptional at communication, writing and editing
Provides a sense of stability in an ever-changing environment

Able to utilize technology to maintain high standards of efficiency and effectiveness in the office.
5+ years of progressively responsible experience plus a B.A. or equivalent is required. Candidates must be committed to the Academy’s Statement of Faith and Standards for Christian Living, love kids, and embrace the school’s mission.

Salary & Benefits
This is a full-time, 12-month position. Salary is negotiable, commensurate with experience and/or qualifications. Requires attendance at some evening and weekend events and meetings.
