As a key member of the business services staff and a direct report to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Human Resources is a thought leader and strong collaborator, effectively builds on the ideas of others, thinks about school employees, and is passionate about talent management.
The Director of Human Resources proactively assists directors to lead effectively, create diverse and inclusive teams, develop their staff, and deliver outstanding results. ?The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and formulates partnerships across the school to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the strategic objectives of the organization.
The Director of Human Resources originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Successful candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field required and have professional certification (SHRM, HRCI). A working knowledge of human resource principles, procedures and practices and relevant federal and state regulations is required. The candidate should be an effective team builder, have exceptional written and oral communication and group presentation skills and the ability to deal with multiple priorities, functions, and activities. Candidates should have five or more years of relevant experience in a strategic HR role.
