Glenelg Country School is seeking a full-time Upper School Biology Teacher beginning in the 2019-2020 school year. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in introductory biology and environmental awareness, with the opportunity to potentially incorporate electives of their choosing in subsequent years. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years teaching experience at the Upper School level and possess a Master’s degree in a related field.
Candidates must be comfortable working with students with a range of learning abilities, integrating appropriate educational technologies into the classroom, and collaborating with colleagues in the Science Department to align curricula and develop/implement inquiry-based laboratory activities.
In addition to teaching, the position may include serving as an academic advisor to a small group of students, and/or contributing to the community as a coach, club advisor, or member of a school committee.
