The Alumni Engagement Officer creates and implements a strategic alumni program that increases awareness of the school and involvement in the school by the alumni community. They facilitate lifelong relationships with and among students, young alumni, alumni, and parents of alumni. Their work ultimately fuels a positive relationship with Ravenscroft that results in stronger connections and increased philanthropy. This position reports to the Director of Donor Relations.
Alumni and Parent of Alumni Engagement
Creates, maintains, and enhances the relationship between the alumni and Ravenscroft and among alumni themselves.
Creates/manages strategy for recruiting, cultivating, and engaging through class reunions, events and programs.
Plans and develops communication methods directed at alumni on an on-going basis.
Recruits, cultivates and provides directions to volunteer leadership for the Alumni Council and Class Agents.
Create strategies around volunteer recruitment, training and stewardship.
Manage and oversee the Alumni Council to ensure the advancement of strategic initiatives for the department.
Manages a robust Class Agent program designed to leverage alumni who will drive positive support for the School. Includes coordinating of Class Agents to collect information from fellow classmates for Ravenscroft Magazine.
Directs all aspects of alumni reunions and Alumni Weekend
Develop and execute innovative engagement strategies and events that optimize and improve connections and networking opportunities with students and young alumni.
Work with the Admissions Office to create strategies and opportunities for the Legacy Enrollment Program.
Works with Advancement Services Manager to ensure accurate and complete alumni database records; captures contact, biographical, university and career information.
Coordinate alumni award nominations and correspondence, including the Distinguished Alumni Award, the Alumni Sports Hall of Fame Award, the Fine Arts Hall of Fame Award, Larry Takacs Award and the 1862 Award.
Alumni and Parent of Alumni Giving
Create an annual plan around alumni and parent of alumni engagement and giving that to meet or exceed the 3-5 year strategic goals set by the Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement.
Strengthen the Fund for Ravenscroft and major gift pipeline by identifying and engaging leadership alumni donors.
Recruit and manage parent volunteers for the Fund for Ravenscroft Cabinet to meet and exceed goals for parent and grandparent philanthropic support.
Manage and track alumni and parent of alumni donor cycle activity
During campaigns, the Alumni Engagement Officer ensures that any/all alumni giving is in support of the campaign and aligns strategies accordingly.
Uphold departmental and institutional policies regarding confidential information.
Ability to travel as needed.
Strong technical skills with significant data experience, both in data analysis and data management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
