The Associate Director of Alumni Giving works to broaden and increase support of the School, the Annual Alumni Fund in particular. Working closely with the Director of Alumni Giving, the Associate Director will be required to contribute significantly to the development of a pipeline of new and annual gifts in support of the fundraising goals of Kent, while working to increase alumni participation and engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cultivate and secure gifts for the Annual Fund and other institutional fundraising priorities with specific goals for acquiring first-time donors, securing major gifts, advancing existing annual donors to higher giving levels, and assisting with other special initiatives as needed.
Oversee a range of Alumni classes and provide guidance and support for their Class Agents, while helping to recruit and train new volunteers.
Assist with the creation of Annual Giving materials for print, electronic and social media communication.
Manage a group of Reunion classes to increase giving and attendance at this annual event.
Assist with the coordination of alumni recognition programs, Reunions, and regional events
Help plan and implement regional events.
Liaise with the Alumni Council and provide support for their initiatives.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree and three years of directly related fundraising experience
Demonstrated working knowledge of industry best practices for annual giving
Keen attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Proficient in the use of Raiser’s Edge fundraising software
Excellent written and communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Able to work both independently and collaboratively
Ability to travel and attend occasional evening and weekend events, both in and out of state
