Harvard-Westlake, a coed, independent school in Los Angeles serving nearly 1600 students in grades 7-12, seeks to hire a Student Life Associate/Chronicle Layout Assistant to assist the Dean of Students and Chronicle Advisor.

Supervising and helping to coordinate student-led projects, events and initiatives.
Ensuring these student-led projects are in compliance with school policies such as submission of special event request forms, catering requests and all relevant paperwork.
Assisting the Harvard-Westlake Chronicle adviser and the newspaper’s student editors in a variety of tasks, including news judgment, page layout and electronically sending finished pages to the printer.
Collaborating with other Harvard-Westlake administrators and faculty on other Student Life related projects.
Helping and mentoring students through different situations, including academic, social, family, or extra-curricular.
Available 25-30 hrs/week
Must be able to work all Chronicle layout weekends and evenings. Those dates will be available well in advance.
