The Rashi School seeks an Assistant Teacher for Grade 1 for the 2019-2020 school year. The Rashi School is the Boston area’s Reform Jewish independent school serving students in grades K–8. Rashi is distinguished by exceptional academics, a strong sense of community, and a deep commitment to Jewish learning and social justice.
Assistant Teachers support the Lead Teachers during instruction, working directly with students in small groups and individually, leading class lessons under the guidance of the Lead Teacher, and participating in all areas of school life. Specific responsibilities will be influenced by the Assistant Teacher’s teaching experiences, skills, and knowledge.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and a passion for working with elementary school-aged children. This is a full-time (7:45 am-3:15 pm M-F) position with a salary of $25,000.
