Position Summary The Annual Fund Manager will be responsible for Mount Pisgah Christian School’s Annual Fund and GOAL Scholarship program. This person will also assist the Director of Advancement with assigned stewardship responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities Annual Fund • Create strategy, materials, and campaign schedule for each constituency to meet or exceed Annual Fund goals • Recruit, train, and manage Annual Fund volunteers • Coordinate all segmentations and assignments of volunteer solicitation calls, visits, and mailings • Conduct calls and visits for leadership gifts • Create and implement online strategy for Annual Fund giving • Work with Advancement staff and Head of School office to implement a plan to thank and recognize our supporters through letters, notes, gifts and events
GOAL Scholarship • Create strategy, materials, and campaign schedule to maximize GOAL participation from each constituency: faculty and staff; current, new and alumni families; financial advisors; and business owners • Work with HR and Finance to encourage employee participation • Create a network of financial planners who will assist in educating our community about GOAL • Implement a plan to appropriately thank and encourage GOAL participants
Scheduled Gift Payments • Work with Office Manager to keep families updated on their outstanding pledge balances and send scheduled reminders when payments are due • Follow-up by call or visit with families who have pledges past due. When necessary working with the family and Finance department to restructure their pledge to adjust their payment due dates • Provide quarterly reports to Director regarding outstanding pledges, write-offs, and collection percentages
Stewardship • Work with Director on a program to educate and involve new families to Mount Pisgah • Work with Director in cultivating relationships with past supporters and strategic families in our community • Attend important school events as assigned each week
Other • Keep records of all contacts, calls and meetings in database • Provide weekly production report and monthly board reports • Any task that is needed or assigned to advance the work of MPCS
Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university • Minimum of five years in fundraising, sales or similar sales type position • Proven ability to manage mass mailings, design and implement programs and marketing materials • Proven ability to manage detailed reports, lists, confidential information and time-sensitive materials • Proven ability to manage volunteers, organize events and adhere to deadlines • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM systems. Blackbaud preferred. • Excellent written/oral communication skills • Excellent organizational and planning skills • Strong attention to detail and follow-through • Ability to be proactive, take initiative and multi-task • Willingness to roll up their sleeves and do whatever task is needed to meet our goals • Ability to work in a team environment and display a positive behavior • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to actively listen to internal/external customers • Able to maintain strict confidentiality • Genuine ability to connect and build relationships with others • Mission-driven individual with a commitment to Mount Pisgah Christian School’s faith-based mission and values
