Learning Support Specialist/MS English: Learning Support Specialist provides support and advocacy for students with learning challenges by working directly with students, teachers, and parents. The LSS provides information and professional development for teachers to ensure students get the best academic and social support. This position requires the teaching of two classes for full-time, preference for middle school English or other subject.
Background in Special Education/Needs, preferred. Ability to support students with learning challenges and coach/support teachers essential.

Founded in 1994, Desert Academy was fully authorized as an International Baccalaureate World School in 2008.
Desert currently serves about 130 students grades 6 to 12 with a student to faculty ratio of 8:1, and average class size of 12.
