Dwight School is seeking an educational leader for the Dwight Performing Arts Department.
This position reports to the division heads
The Head of Performing Arts Department will supervise Performing Arts teachers (drama, music, and dance) and have a teaching allocation
This position will coordinate multiple performances and showings throughout the academic year.
Prior successful leadership experience
Successful teaching experiences
Strong knowledge and understanding of curriculum development
Strong knowledge and understanding of formative assessments
Strong knowledge of diverse learning styles
Strong understanding of the organizational aspects of performances and/or showings
Additional Requirements Preferred (but not required):
Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma Programmes
Previous experience as a head of department/or equivalent
Previous experience as a professional artist
Knowledge and understanding of managing and allocating budgets
