Friends School Haverford seeks a full time educator to provide strategy-based, push-in support to individual students in a variety of classroom and school settings. Teaching experience is required. Candidates should also have a strong, asset-oriented interest in special education.
With the guidance of the Learning Resource Team, student support coaches work one-on-one with children to help them meaningfully engage with their classroom learning. Coaches actively collaborate with children’s families, the Learning Specialist, other student support coaches, and classroom teachers to develop and implement individualized plans to best meet students’ learning and social/emotional needs.
Friends School Haverford is a small Quaker school outside of Philadelphia. Our exceptional teachers develop learning experiences that are both intellectually engaging and meaningful for our students. Kindness, integrity, curiosity, reflection, outdoor play, and creativity are central to our mission.
