The Associate Director of Advancement is a member of the Advancement team who, under the direction of the Director of Advancement will provide daily oversight of development operations including all aspects of donor relations, Annual Fund programs, gift processing and stewardship.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the develop strategies to grow annual fund and major gifts campaigns
Directly manage all aspects of Advancement Services
Assist with Major Gifts Program including qualification, cultivation and stewardship or prospects
Oversee the tracking of all Major Gifts prospects
Lead Annual Fund implementation and development by overseeing the execution of the annual giving calendar and assisting in creating data driven metrics by which the plan is created and adjusted accordingly
Provide daily oversight of the fundraising operations including systems that support excellent stewardship and cultivation of donors
Responsible for insuring timely and accurate gift acknowledgement to donors
Serve as the main point of contact for the business office
Work with the Advancement Team to create reports for volunteers, Trustees, and staff that are accurate and timely
Work with Director of Advancement to develop and assess annual Advancement Plan
Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of demonstrated, successful development experience
Working knowledge of all areas of development, including major gifts, planned gifts, annual gifts, proposal writing, special events, prospect research, policies and procedures
Excellent project management and follow-up skills including strong attention to detail. Accuracy is a must. Proven experience in problem solving and an ability to develop guidelines and metrics to track effectiveness of projects and processes.
Experienced and advanced user of Raiser’s Edge, and related tools and technology
Proven aptitude for working as part of a team and displaying a sense of ethical conduct that will inspire confidence and motivation
The ability to plan and manage the implementation of a variety of complex advancement initiatives simultaneously and to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Advanced use of MS Office applications required
Some weekend and evening work.
