Wooster School seeks anEnglish teacher with a strong background in writing to join our forward-thinking Humanities Department. This teacher’s primary course load will be upper division, 11th and 12th grade offerings, including those in our dynamic and student-centered Deep Learning Initiative (DLI). The ideal candidate will be a voracious reader with an advanced degree, teaching experience at the Upper School level, and a deep understanding of the writing process. Applicants should be familiar with the workshop model of reading and writing and/or interested to learn about and implement it. They should also be lifelong learners who are curious students of the art and science of teaching and learning, and model an active mind and a flexible, positive, and a can-do disposition for their students and colleagues. Ability and desire to teach across grade levels and even divisions is a significant plus.
Founded in 1926, Wooster School, a co-educational, 3-12, college preparatory day school with an enrollment of approximately 375 students.
