Devon Preparatory School, a Catholic, college preparatory school for young men in grade six to twelve, is seeking a part-time receptionist to start immediately. This is a twelve-month position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The receptionist will manage a busy school office and provide crucial support to the School’s administrative staff. Using strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, a cheerful, flexible, positive attitude with strong social skills.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS:
Devon Prep’s staff has frequent encounters with visitors, students, faculty and staff throughout the campus. It is important to maintain a helpful, positive demeanor while interacting with these individuals.
NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
The receptionist reports directly to the Director of Operations but may be directed by other Administration during the day if emergencies arise.
BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, which include but are not limited to:
Passion for working in a non-profit and educational environment
Previous experience with customer service in an administrative office
Professional attitude and demeanor

Superb written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills

Technologically competent and confident
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite or Google Suite, including Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides
Basic knowledge or willingness to learn group information systems and accounting software
Other duties as assigned
Hours from 12:00pm to 4:00pm Monday through Friday
The receptionist should have previous experience in a receptionist or customer service position, preferably working in an institutional environment. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are also very important.
