About the Role
As Marlborough continues to boldly pursue ideas that set the pace for the future of education and teaching, we are embarking upon a two-year Campaign and seek a dedicated Campaign Manager to play a critical role in its success. Working closely with Campaign staff and leadership, you will help keep the Campaign on schedule and progressing with a high level of momentum that engenders enthusiasm and sparks philanthropic investment to meet our ambitious goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Campaign Organization and Coordination
Regularly updates Campaign leadership on the status of the Campaign and the timeline of anticipated and actual solicitations. Prepares Campaign reports, ensuring they are kept up to date, are easily accessible, and distributed regularly to Campaign staff and leadership.
Works with other Advancement staff to ensure all contact with Campaign donors is dovetailed and not in conflict with the Annual Fund.
Maintains Campaign timeline and the master Campaign calendar to maximize cultivation events and keep Campaign committees and staff on track.
Ensures that Gift Policies are followed and that every Campaign gift and pledge is recorded in Raiser’s Edge, noting pledge payment schedules and reminders. Prepares pledge agreements and sends out written gift acknowledgements.
Maintains an updated list of naming and recognition opportunities.
Schedules Campaign-specific meetings, prepares and provides necessary meeting materials and attends meetings to note meeting activity and actions agreed at the meeting.
Tracks Campaign expenditure and prepares Campaign expenditure reports regarding Advancement spend on Campaign events and donor cultivation.
Major Donor Solicitation and Gift Tracking Support
Manages systems to track and report on gifts and ensure pledge fulfillment. Updates cash flow projections on pledges.
Supports event management with tasks including developing invitation lists, tracking RSVPs, sending invitations and any other necessary arrangements.
Ensures that every Campaign gift and pledge is managed seamlessly so that the donor is officially thanked within 48 hours of receiving the gift and thanked again by other members of the Campaign team.
Researches prospective donors and gathers information about current donors.
Assists the Head of School, Director of Advancement and other Campaign leaders and volunteers in maintaining momentum for arranging meetings with donors, suggesting possible meetings and engagement opportunities.
Assists in scheduling and staffing meetings with prospective donors; prepares and provides customized packages of materials for meetings as needed.
Tracks and manages follow-up with Campaign leadership and Committee members on assigned tasks.
Handles routine requests and provides support as needed to staff, board members and volunteers for solicitations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, CHARACTER TRAITS AND SKILLS
A commitment to and passion for the vision and mission of Marlborough School and developing future female leaders.
3 or more years of experience in Advancement at a comparable institution.
Excellent word processing, proofreading and spreadsheet computer skills.
Computer fluency in donor database software and web applications.
Superior verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to work with integrity and maintain confidential information.
Highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, professional and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
A team player with an attitude of service and the ability to motivate others.
