St. Anne’s Episcopal School seeks a dynamic, organized, and caring professional to serve as the School Receptionist.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining a welcoming and friendly presence with students, parents, and colleagues in keeping with the School’s mission.
The School Receptionist will:
Develop a positive, welcoming and caring climate in the Front Office.
Greet all incoming students, families, and guests respectfully and professionally
Answer phone calls in a pleasant manner for the purpose of providing information and creating a good image of the school
Manage telephone message system (office hours, and other recorded messages)
Consistently exhibit high standards of professional conduct.
Assist in all aspects of maintaining a professional front office, including but not limited to, fielding and directing incoming phone calls to the appropriate staff member in a timely, professional manner, as well as filing, copying, and faxing sensitive information.
Understand, accept, and abide by the School’s philosophy and mission statement in all his/her school activities.
Work with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with others, and possess the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
Receive, count, open, unpack, date, stamp, record, sort and distribute incoming mail, documents, books, materials and supplies following established procedures.
Sort and stamp out-going correspondence, address envelopes and packages and prepare printed matter and other material for mailing.
Receive and refer visitors, take telephone calls and messages, and provide routine information upon request.
Be able to honor confidential information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google products
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse community
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Strong organizational skills and effective time management
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift supplies and materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
