Fryeburg Academy’s Director of International Market Development, Recruitment, and Partnerships, a key administrator reporting to the Assistant Head of School, is responsible for developing and executing the school’s international enrollment plan and development of partner schools and relationships. The position requires active leadership, interaction and collaboration with FA’s senior leadership team, faculty, staff, and students.
The Director of International Market Development, Recruitment, and Partnerships must be able to communicate Fryeburg Academy’s central mission and the unique array of educational opportunities that it affords and have the ability to cultivate productive relationships with all admission constituencies.
The Director of International Market Development, Recruitment, and Partnerships closely with the Academy’s Assistant Head of School, CFO/COO, Head of School, Director of Communications, Senior Associate Director of Admission and other senior leaders.
Specific Director of Admission duties fall among the following essential functions of the job:
Collaborate with the AHOS to generate action plans for achieving annual international student targets
Develop international agent and school relationships
Oversee and build short term program development and enrollment
Develop strategic partnerships with international schools and programs
Increase the number of international applications and enrollments
Develop new markets
Activate international parents and alumni in the enrollment process
Significant international travel
Qualifying Education and Experience
Experience in a school admission operation
Minimum 5+ years administrative or sales experience in international education

A strong belief in independent education, and particularly the mission of Fryeburg Academy
An acumen for sales
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to think analytically and strategically
Affinity for international travel
Excellent organizational skills; ability to balance administrative duties and timelines
Commitment to the collegial, frank communication and collaboration that team processes entail
The ability to speak a second or third language a plus
A developed understanding of international education
